Common questions
Do parents have to pay anything?
No. Ever. Parents are always free. The coach pays for the team; parents just download the app and use it.
What's the difference between Founder Rate and regular Coach pricing?
The Founder Rate ($5/mo locked for life) is for our first 50 coaches. You lock in that rate forever, even after we raise public Coach pricing ($99/year or $10/month). Once the 50 seats are taken, that's it — new coaches go on the public rate.
How does the Club subscription waiver work?
Club is $299/yr base. If your club processes at least $15,000/year in registrations through GoalKickr (Stripe payments for dues, tournaments, camps), the subscription is waived and applied back as a credit at renewal. Clubs that don't process payments through GoalKickr stay on the $299/yr rate — that's the guardrail so the free path actually maps to active use.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Coach Annual and Coach Monthly both start with a 7-day free trial. You enter a card at signup so the subscription can convert seamlessly on day 8, but nothing is charged during the trial. Cancel anytime before day 8 and you owe nothing. Founder Rate and Club tiers don't include a trial.
What if my club already uses another system?
You can run GoalKickr alongside whatever your club uses, or import your team's data from .ics calendars, GotSoccer exports, and similar. We make it easy to switch when you're ready.
Is my data my data?
Yes. Export everything any time. We don't sell data, don't show ads, and never share parent contact info outside the team.
